With Godzilla hitting news heights – given the upcoming TV series and this incredible new Japanese film – you’d expect the franchise to play things safe, but Godzilla Minus One is anything but safe.
With this new film, the franchise is going back to its roots. This time, Godzilla will take a war-torn Japan post-WWII and toss it into further disarray, adding a refreshing horror spin to that character that isn’t often seen these days. Check out the new teasers below…

The film stars Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, and Kuranosuke Sasaki.

Godzilla Minus One is slated to screen as the closing film at the 36th Tokyo International Film Festival on November 1st, 2023. Afterward, the film will be released in Japan on November 3rd to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the first film’s original release a year prior and will then premiere in theatres across the United States on December 1st, 2023.
