Marvel Studios and Disney+ have revealed a new logo and first episode synopsis for their Kathryn Hahn-headlined WandaVision spin-off Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
First introduced as Agatha: House of Harkness before being changed to Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Marvel finally settled on Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, and now you can check out the magical new logo below.
A brief episode description of the Agatha: Darkhold Diaries pilot has also been unveiled by the U.S. Copyright Office Public Records System (via Deadline) which reads, “In the first episode we see Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) finally break out of a spell she has been trapped in. She can’t wait to go back to her old murderous ways, only to find that she is powerless. The only way forward for her is to embark on a perilous quest to get her powers back with the help of an unlikely friend or two.”
Directed by WandaVision and Black Widow writer Jac Schaeffer, Agatha: Coven of Chaos also stars Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, and Sasheer Zamata. The supporting cast includes David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, Kate Forbes, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, and Maria Dizzia.
There’s a real multiverse feel to the state of Marvel at the moment, with Blade delays, a complete creative retooling of Daredevil: Born Again mid-production, and soft box-office projections for The Marvels all playing out against the backdrop of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which has caused multiple release date changes.
