More casting news from Cannes, this time concerning Oscar winner Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener) who is set to star in new thriller Snatchback.

The film, which is set in the world of illegal child recoveries, is to be directed by Pete Travis (Dredd) and will see Weisz play a mother whose daughter is abducted, only for her to take on mercenary missions in the Middle East to help others who have been affected by kidnappings of children.

Weisz currently has two films screening at Cannes this year: The Lobster opposite Colin Farrell, and Youth which stars Michael Caine and Harvey Keitel.
