DC / Vertigo’s DMZ heading to the small screen

February 6, 2014 by admin

Warner Bros. might be struggling to get its DC house in order on the big screen, but when it comes to television, we’ve got a whole host of properties heading our way.

As well as the hit superhero series Arrow, The CW has The Flash, Hourman and iZombie in the pipeline, while Fox is working on Gotham and NBC is developing Constantine. And now it looks like we can add another potential show to that list…

According to Deadline, Mad Men executive producers Andre and Maria Jacquemetton and Gravity producer David Heyman are currently working with SyFy on an adaptation of Brian Wood’s Vertigo / DC title DMZ, which ran for 72 issues between 2005 and 2012 and is “set in the near future and centers on a young man trapped in Manhattan, which has been turned into a demilitarized zone (DMZ) after a second American civil war.”
