Trailer and poster for sci-fi thriller Kin starring Jack Reynor, Zoë Kravitz, Carrie Coon, Dennis Quaid and James Franco

Lionsgate has debuted the first trailer for the upcoming sci-fi crime thriller Kin. Directed by Jonathan and Josh Baker, it is based on their short film Bag Man, and features a cast that includes Jack Reynor, Zoë Kravitz, Carrie Coon, Dennis Quaid, James Franco, and Myles Truitt; watch it here…

KIN, a pulse-pounding crime thriller with a sci-fi twist, is the story of an unexpected hero destined for greatness. Chased by a vengeful criminal (James Franco) and a gang of otherworldly soldiers,​ a recently released ex-con (Jack Reynor) and his adopted teenage brother (Myles Truitt) are forced to go on the run with a weapon of mysterious origin as their only protection.

Kin is set for release in August 31st.
