The classic toy brand Creepy Crawlers is heading to the big screen courtesy of Paramount Players and producer Neal H. Moritz (Fast & Furious, Goosebumps).
Originally developed by Mattel and launching in 1964, Creepy Crawlers is a series of moulds which allow kids to create a variety of bug-like creatures. It was revived by ToyMax in the 90s, and is currently owned by Jakks Pacific, which has introduced a number of themed moulds including the likes of SpongeBob SquarePants, Pokemon, Star Wars and Hello Kitty.
Plot details on the movie are being kept under wraps, but the hope is to replicate the success that Paramount has enjoyed with its previous toy adaptations such as Transformers and G.I. Joe.
