October release date announced for Disgaea 1 Complete on Switch and PS4

June 14, 2018 by Andrew Newton

NIS America have announced that Disgaea 1 Complete will be released for the Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 in North America on the 9th October and in Europe on the 12th October.  Celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Disgaea series, Disgaea 1 Complete brings the original saga, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, to modern consoles.  A new trailer has been released and can be found below…

In Disgaea 1 Complete players follow Prince Laharl awakens to find his father, the Overlord, is dead.  With the Netherworld in complete turmoil it is up to the prince and his unlikely allies (including devious vassal Etna and the angel trainee Flonne) to fight for his throne and defend what is rightfully his.  In order to reclaim his throne Laharl will need to slash, shoot and punch his way to the top, using an assortment of special skills while building up his team to level 9999.

This remastering will feature:

  • Take control of Prince Laharlas he conquers the Netherworld to become the Overlord in this zany story of assassins, Prinnies, and robots!
  • Play through the main story of the original Disgaea or try Etna Mode with extra characters not found in the original release!
  • Level up anything from characters to items to shops.  Things not working out in your favor? Head to the Dark Assembly, and change the laws of the Netherworld.

Disgaea 1 Complete will arrive on the Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 this October.
