Having played General Sam Lane in Smallville, veteran actor Michael Ironside is set for a return to the DC universe, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that he’s been cast in the upcoming second season of The Flash.
Ironside is set to appear in the third episode of season two, entitled ‘Family of Rogues’, and will play Lewis Snart, the father of Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Lisa Snart/Golden Glider (Peyton List).

The Flash returns for its second season on Tuesday October 6th.
