Disney is facing calls to recast the role of General Leia Organa in the upcoming animated series Star Wars Resistance following a tweet posted by voice actress Rachel Butera.
Butera, whose credits include The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Family Guy, posted a video where she imitated the voice of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who had been giving testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee about an alleged sexual assault by U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Amid a growing backlash from outraged fans – many of whom called upon Disney and Lucasfilm to fire her from Star Wars Resistance and recast the role of Leia – Butera then posted two further tweets in an effort to explain her actions before deleting her Twitter account:
Star Wars Resistance is set to premiere a week on Sunday, but given the swift action taken by Disney against the likes of James Gunn and Roseanne Barr lately, it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise if Butera finds herself out of a job in the coming days…
