Taron Egerton in talks for Robin Hood: Origins

August 7, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Kingsman: The Secret Service star Taron Egerton is in talks with Lionsgate about taking on the lead role in the studio’s upcoming action-adventure Robin Hood: Origins.

Origins – which is one of several Robin Hood projects in development in Hollywood – has been written by Joby Harold (the upcoming King Arthur: Knights of the Round Table), and is set to be directed by Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders, Black Mirror).

Egerton will next be seen alongside Tom Hardy in Legend, as well as Hugh Jackman in Eddie the Eagle, where he plays British skijumper Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards.
