Two hidden Stan Lee cameos from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse revealed

February 17, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

The late, great Stan Lee made a rather memorable cameo in Sony’s BAFTA-winning animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, with the Marvel legend portraying a collectibles store owner who sells Miles Morales his Spider-Man costume.

Well, as it turns out, this isn’t Stan’s only appearance in the movie as the filmmakers reportedly crammed in as many as twelve cameos, two of which have now been revealed: a “don’t blink and you still might miss it” shot of Lee making the classic Spidey hand-gesture on a moving train; and the comic book icon stepping over Miles Morales and Peter Parker (head to the 3:22 mark in the second video below).

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask. Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, the screenplay is by Phil Lord. The film is produced, in association with Marvel, by Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Christina Steinberg.
