Ad: Video Slots and Online Casino Games: All You Need to Know

February 28, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Gambling has been one of the most important past times for man in the last century. This is partially due to the adrenaline rush associated with the thrill of taking a risk. Earlier the only way to experience this form of enjoyment was to pay a visit to a casino or game parlor physically. Thanks to the development of technology, we don’t have to travel out the comforts of our home to partake in some form of gambling. Instead, you can try out the different video slots and casino games at Betway from the comfort of your home. Choose the games you want to play, and all you need is an internet connection to get started.

The genius inventions of the personal computer and the internet have ensured that casino games are now at our fingertips. Typically people indulged in casinos mostly when they were on holiday. Today though, playing your favorite online casino games pretty is just a tap way. Many love the ability to indulge in something that gives them a break from busy day-to-day life so easily.

How did Online Gaming Start?

Online gaming came into being in 1994 when the first online casino was developed and launched. In the 25 years of its being, online gaming has come a long way forward from its humble beginnings. Online gaming has repeated found acceptance because they are easy to play and also because they are equally entertaining as they are rewarding. The late 1990s saw the launch of the first online poker room and jackpot slot. Online gaming has always embraced new technology and has tried to consolidate its position by embracing change.

With the popularity of social media, online gaming companies too started cashing in on the social media boom by entering this space in 2013 achieving almost instant success and a huge following base. Soon, mobile gaming became as popular if not more than machine-internet gambling as more people found the user-friendliness and easy to access aspects of mobile gaming.

When cryptocurrencies became all the rage, bitcoin entered into the online gaming space market helping keep it relevant and with a modern outlook. Today all big online casino companies have the latest versions of their gaming platform developed into an App designed for mobile users.

A Look at the Future

Experts believe that the online gaming market will hit revenues of $1 trillion by the year 2021. The number of players entering this space is increasing exponentially by the year. Several new innovations may be expected in the next few years as established companies are now spending largely on R&D efforts to increase the entertainment quotient to attract new users while also effectively engaging their loyal customer base. Virtual Reality is a trend that several gambling giants have put their money behind and is set to be the next big game changer in the online gambling space. VR gaming is definitely the future of gambling.
