Sci-fi survival horror Chernobylite gets a teaser trailer

March 22, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Polish game developer The Farm 51 has revealed the first gameplay teaser trailer for their upcoming sci-fi survival horror, Chernobylite, currently in development for PC and consoles.  With a non-linear storyline and unrestricted access to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, Chernobylite will provide a one of a kind horror experience that won’t be forgotten.  Watch this new trailer below…

Chernobylite will see players take the role of a ‘Stalker’ and survive the ruined and radiated landscape of the Chernobyl zone in order to find out what happened to their beloved.  Players will need to explore the landscape, avoiding other Stalkers, military patrols and even the supernatural dangers that are attracted to the location.  Stalkers can try their hand going solo or ally themselves with other players but a Stalker’s life is fragile and every passing moment wasted can have an adverse effect on success.  Crafting will be essential to master as gear and weapons will need to be created to protect from the hostiles lurking in the zone.

This horror survival features:

  • Explore an accurate 3D-scanned recreation of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
  • Collaborate or compete with other stalkers of the Zone.
  • Survive the natural and supernatural threats.
  • A non-linear, thrilling, science-fiction horror story.
  • Use physics and chemistry know-how to craft equipment and manage supplies.
  • Fight against the vicious supernatural creatures entering the world from an alternate reality.
  • Investigate and collect data with a set of sophisticated environment and substance analysis tools.

“Ever since we’ve announced our game, we’ve been receiving tons of comments and feedback from the gaming community out there, and it all led us to one conclusion. That everybody hopes to be able to explore the destroyed Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and Pripyat ghost city in our game as deeply as possible. And we’re more than eager to deliver that. But this means, that we should expand the locations in the game comparing to the original concept we had, and ask gamers for their help in doing so. It’s a hard and dangerous task, keeping in mind that to achieve that goal, we’ll need to make some extra trips to the Exclusion Zone and scan even more buildings and objects.” said Wojciech Pazdur, The Farm 51 CEO.

Look out for more news on Chernobylite in the future.
