Deadline is reporting that Universal Pictures has tapped Liam Neeson to star in action comedy The Revenger, which will be directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland).
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the project comes by way of a pitch from screenwriters Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, whose credits include Night at the Museum, The Pacifier and Reno 911.
Neeson has recently wrapped two films in Silence and A Monster Calls, and is currently preparing for his role as Douglas MacArthur in the Korean War drama Operation Chromite.
