Hulu gives straight to series order to Nine Perfect Strangers from Big Little Lies team

May 6, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Streaming service Hulu has granted a straight to series order for Nine Perfect Strangers, an adaptation of the latest book from Liane Moriarty, which reunites the Big Little Lies author with executive producers Nicole Kidman, David E. Kelley, Bruna Papandrea and Per Saari.

First announced last year ahead of the book’s November publication, Nine Perfect Strangers is set in “a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this ten-day retreat is the resort’s director Masha (played by Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine “perfect” strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.”

Before we get to Nine Perfect Strangers, Kidman is set to reunite with Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley for the second season of the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning Big Little Lies, which is set to premiere on HBO on June 10th. Watch the teaser trailer here.
