Dave Bautista thinks Drax will be disappointed that he didn’t get to kill Thanos

July 17, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Dave Bautista thinks that Drax will be left feeling unsatisfied that he didn’t get to kill Thanos himself in Avengers: Endgame.

Drax’s biggest driving motivator in life was getting to kill Thanos – the being who wronged him so gravely in the past. But now that Thanos has been killed thanks to Iron Man’s use of the Infinity Gauntlet, how will Drax feel?

Well, according to the man behind the character, Dave Bautista, Drax will be frustrated that he wasn’t personally able to get his revenge. Speaking to GQ he said: “I don’t know. I think he’s going to be a little unsatisfied he didn’t kill Thanos himself. I thought about that a long time ago. James Gunn is super creative, and he’s also a fan so he will dig through and come up with a new villain and something for Drax that I’m sure people will appreciate. He’s a genius.”

It will be interesting to see what James Gunn has in store for us with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Surely Thanos’ legacy will have a lasting impact on the film.

Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Benedict Wong (Wong), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Vin Diesel (Groot), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Evangeline Lilly (The Wasp), Letitia Wright (Shuri) and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie).
