Elizabeth Olsen responds to comic books “going the way of the Western”; says House of M will never be adapted

October 7, 2015 by Luke Owen

Last month, legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg caused quite the stir around the Internet by saying that comic book movies would “go the way of the Western” and essentially die out. Kevin Fiege has responded to those comments and now Scarlet Witch herself, Elizabeth Olsen, has given her thoughts on the subject.

“I’m having fun doing them and I’m also having a lot of fun doing other things as well,” the Captain America: Civil War star told USA Today. “It’s not a make-or-break thing but obviously I don’t think they’re going to go away. I mean, they’ve been around my entire childhood and they go back to television shows in the ‘50s, so that’s just a silly thing to say.”

When asked about what stories she’d like to adapt for Scarlet Witch, she gave the answer everyone would expect.

“House of M. That’s still all I want to do, I don’t care. That would be so fun but obviously that would never happen,” she admitted.

Perhaps they could replace mutants with Inhumans?..
