Simon Pegg and J.K. Simmons set for bank heist comedy My Only Sunshine

September 2, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Director Mark Palansky (Penelope) has enlisted Simon Pegg and J.K. Simmons to star in My Only Sunshine, an independent comedy heist thriller which is set to begin shooting this fall.

The film, scripted by J.T. Petty and K. Reed Petty, will follow “a passionately dysfunctional couple who orchestrate a bank robbery as an unconventional act of bloodthirsty marriage counseling. They try to make peace with the shocking mystery of their relationship throughout the violent hostage situation, discovered by a cop hostage negotiator who previously investigated a past related crime.”
