Jamie Lee Curtis teases Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends

September 26, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Having made her return to the slasher series with last year’s well received reboot/revival, Jamie Lee Curtis is currently preparing for two more showdowns with The Shape in Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions’ Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, and during an interview with Collider, Curtis has been speaking of her excitement about returning to the role of Laurie Strode for these new outings.

“What I love that David Gordon Green and Danny [McBride] and company did is they connected the dots for forty years, now they’re going back to really unpack the first movie, bringing back all those characters whose lives were affected by what happened in 1978,” said Curtis. “And then the last movie is the sort of cultural phenomenon of violence, that’s what the third movie ultimately is, a very powerful examination of violence. It comes at it from a slightly different way. You’ll like it…. If you believe in me at all, I promise you what David Gordon Green has come up with as a way to complete this trilogy is sensational.”

Curtis is set to be joined in the cast of Halloween Kills by Kyle Richards, who is reprising her role from John Carpenter’s 1978 original as Lindsay Wallace, while Anthony Michael Hall (The Dead Zone) plays Tommy Doyle and Robert Longstreet (The Haunting of Hill House) has been cast as Lonnie Elam. Judy Greer (Karen), Andi Matichak (Allyson) and Jibrail Nantambu (Julian) reprise their roles from last year’s film, while James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle are also back as Michael Myers.

Halloween Kills is set to shoot back-to-back with Halloween Ends for release on October 16th 2020 and October 15th 2021 respectively.
