Charlize Theron in talks for The Gray Man

October 15, 2015 by Gary Collinson

It looks like Sony Pictures’ The Gray Man may need a title change, as Deadline is reporting that Mad Max: Fury Road star Charlize Theron has entered talks for the lead role in the upcoming action thriller.

The project is based upon the novel of the same name by Mark Greaney, and previously had Brad Pitt attached to star as an expert CIA op-turned-assassin who is forced to evade adversaries as (s)he saves the lives of daughters (s)he didn’t know (s)he had.

Should Theron sign on to the film, it would be a similar situation to that of Salt, which saw Angelina Jolie taking on the lead after Tom Cruise decided to exit.
