The Originals’ Natalie Dreyfuss to play Sue Dearbon in The Flash

November 18, 2019 by Gary Collinson

The Originals actress Natalie Dreyfuss has joined the cast of The CW’s The Flash in the recurring role of Sue Dearbon, the missing person at the heart of Ralph Dibny’s (Hartley Swayer) current case, and – in the comic books – the future wife and crime-fighting partner of the Elongated Man.

As revealed by TV Line, the official character description reads: “Possessing a fierce intelligence and a spitfire personality, Sue Dearbon is the daughter to one of Central City’s most wealthy families. But there’s much more to Sue than just the socialite reputation that always precedes her, which master detective Ralph will discover when they finally meet later during Season 6.”

“We have to solve the mystery of where is Sue exactly, what’s she doing, and more importantly, why?” The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace previously told EW when discussing the character’s introduction. “It’s a season-long mystery that is going to take a twist in the back half. And when we finally do meet Sue, she might not be the woman that Ralph is expecting.”

The Flash season 6 airs on Tuesday nights on The CW.
