Robert Pattinson and Margaret Qualley cast in The Stars at Noon

February 20, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Robert Pattinson is set to reunite with High Life director Claire Denis on the romantic thriller The Stars at Noon, where the new Batman actor will star alongside Margaret Qualley (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood).

Based on the novel by Denis Johnson, the film is set during the Nicaraguan revolution in 1984 and will see Pattinson and Qualley playing a mysterious English businessman and headstrong American journalist who strike up a passionate romance but soon find themselves embroiled in a dangerous labyrinth of lies and conspiracies and are forced to try and escape the country, with only each other to trust and rely on.

Denis has written the script for The Stars at Noon with Lea Mysius and Andrew Litvack, and A24 has just snapped up the North American distribution rights at the European Film Market.

Pattinson is currently shooting Warner Bros. and DC Films’ The Batman, while Qualley will next be seen in My Salinger Year and also recently signed on to star in A Head Full of Ghosts.
