The Flash movie producer Barbara Muschietti says an update is coming “very soon”

June 15, 2020 by Liam Waddington

If there is one film that epitomises the term ‘development hell’, it is The Flash movie, which has received numerous delays, script rewrites, and a revolving door of directors over the past few years. However, according to one producer, Warner Bros. and DC will provide an update on the film soon.

Barbara Muschietti, who is serving as producer on The Flash movie, made her comment when responding to an update inquiry on Instagram, writing: “It’s coming! News very soon!”

Although this isn’t a major update on the production schedule of the film, it seems the solo movie is finally getting back on track. However, it was reported last year that The Flash movie won’t begin filming until star Ezra Miller finishes up work on the next Fantastic Beasts film.

It and Mama director Andy Muschietti will direct the film from a script Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson, who penned the 2020 DC film Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). The Flash is currently slated for release on July 1st 2022.

Are you still excited for The Flash or has the hype worn off after numerous delays? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @flickeringmyth…
