Scott Adkins joins Marvel’s Doctor Strange

November 13, 2015 by Thomas Roach

British martial artist and action star Scott Adkins is the latest addition to the cast of Marvel’s Doctor Strange, according to The Wrap.

A source from production claims Adkins has joined the project, however both Marvel and Adkins’ reps are yet to confirm the casting. There has been no indication who Adkins will play in the film, but given his resume we can assume he will show off his martial arts skills.

Doctor Strange is being directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister), while the cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) as Stephen Strange, Tilda Swinton (Snowpiercer) as The Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) as Baron Mordo and Rachel McAdams (True Detective), Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal) and Amy Landecker (Transparent) in as-yet-unconfirmed roles.
