Rescue pooches this autumn on Switch and Steam with To The Rescue!

March 10, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Freedom Games and developer Little Rock Games have announced they will be releasing a dog shelter management simulator that will really tug on the old heart-strings this autumn.  To The Rescue! will release on Nintendo Switch and Steam and will have players handling the challenges of rescuing man’s best friend. However, gamers who purchase this will also have the pleasure of knowing that 20% of profits will be donated to animal shelters.

In To The Rescue! players will face the challenge of ensuring that stray dogs have a safe and caring place to stay until a furever home is found with a new family.  Players will need to build an ideal environment to meet the dog’s needs and make sure there are plenty of full tummies and waggy tails.  As well as providing food, shelter owners will also need to provide veterinary treatment for a host of illnesses including kennel cough. Working in a shelter is not all belly rubs and ball throwing, there’s also finances to manage, investors to meet and staff to hire.

Each dog has its own personality and players will have to get to know each one and match them with the ideal family, after all we want a doggo to be with its new family for a very long time.

“The challenges dog shelters and their volunteers face every day truly inspire us,” said Olivia Dunlap, co-founder, Little Rock Games. “It’s a setting we felt was ripe for exploration in games and we look forward to bringing this world to Nintendo Switch and Steam later this year.”

To The Rescue! releases this autumn on the Nintendo eShop for Switch and on Steam for PC/Mac, and remember, 20% of profits will go to real life pet shelters.
