Dying Light and Rust come together for a limited time event

April 21, 2021 by Andrew Newton

The world of the multiplayer survival game Rust has arrived in Dying Light in a limited time event on PC.  This collaboration event between Techland and Facepunch Studios brings Rust themed items and challenges to the game and will be available until 26th April.  A new trailer can be seen below showing what survivors can expect during the crossover event.

All players who log in during the crossover event will receive a new, free Rust Bundle that features Rust-themed guns including the Rust Assault Rifle, Custom SMG and the Salvaged Cleaver melee weapon.  Plus there is the new ‘Rust Bucket’ buggy skin.  The Dying Light community can also work together to get access to Gold Fire, Gold Freezing and Gold Poison C4 Dockets simply by searching for, and retrieving airdrops, raiding two new Rais’ Outposts and eliminating bandits.

This collaboration event also finds new enemies for players to fight, both living and dead.  In the Slums and Old Town there are bandits and zombies, including the new Bucket Helmet zombie type and there’s also Rust Outpost Scientists equipped with assault rifles and SMGs.

There’s so much to do and so many zombies to put down permanently during this event, but be quick as it’s only available until 26th April.
