It’s Vampires on a Plane in trailer for Netflix’s Blood Red Sky

June 30, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

Just when you think they can’t come up with any more high-concept plane movies, Netflix go and release the trailer for the terrific looking German action-horror film Blood Red Sky. With a unique twist on the vampire genre, this looks to be Air Force One meets Let the Right One In by way of Die Hard 2, and we can’t wait. Take a look below…

A woman with a mysterious illness is forced into action when a group of terrorists attempt to hijack a transatlantic overnight flight. In order to protect her son she will have to reveal a dark secret, and unleash the vampire within that she fought to hide.

Blood Red Sky stars Peri Baumeister (Skylines), Kais Setti (Dogs of Berlin), Alexander Scheer (Hausen), Dominic Purcell (Prison Break), and Graham McTavish (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), and is directed by Peter Thorwarth, from a script by Thorwarth and Stefan Holtz.

Blood Red Sky will be streaming on Netflix in some territories from July 23rd.
