Ahead of its release next week through Dark Horse Comics, we have an exclusive preview of The Golem Walks Among Us! #2 from writers Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden, artist Peter Bergting and colorist Michelle Madsen, along with comments from co-writer Golden.
“This is one of my favorite stories that we’ve done since the beginning of the Outerverse,” said co-writer Christopher Golden, , whose next novel Road of Bones is set for publication on January 25th from St. Martin’s Press. “The Golem Walks Among Us! is the first glimpse into what Josef the Golem was really like as a sentient creature—after he was merely “the Golem” and before he would one day be revived as Joe Golem, Occult Detective. But this story really is a dark horror story, an illustration of the kind of world these characters are living and fighting in, tainted by evil that seems to grow back even if you tear it up by the roots. Peter Bergting has done possibly his best art yet in this story, and I couldn’t be happier!”
