Alth0ugh he’s currently a little busy with Indiana Jones 5, it seems that James Mangold is already planning his next project, with the Walk the Line and Logan helmer set to produce and direct a Buster Keaton biopic.
Based on Marion Meade’s book Buster Keaton: Cut to the Chase, the film will tell the story of the Hollywood pioneer, whose iconic work in the silent era on classics such as 1926’s The General still sees him regarded as one of the greatest actor-directors of all time.

Mangold is developing the project for the now-Disney-owned 20th Century Studios, where he’s previously directed both The Wolverine and Logan. He’s also currently shooting the as-yet-untitled Indiana Jones 5 for fellow Disney subsidiary Lucasfilm.
