Dario Argento’s Tenebrae coming to 4K Ultra HD with 40th anniversary restoration

2022 marks the 40th anniversary of Dario Argento’s 1982 giallo Tenebrae and Arrow Video is marking the occasion with a special limited edition 4K Ultra HD release which includes a brand new 4K restoration by Arrow Films, alongside a plethora of extras old and new and including a fully restored version of the alternate ‘Unsane’ US theatrical cut. American mystery author Peter Neal (Anthony Franciosa, Death Wish II) comes to Rome to promote his newest novel, Tenebrae. A razor-wielding psychopath is on the loose, taunting Neal and murdering those around him in gruesome fashion just like the character in his novel. As the mystery surrounding the killings spirals out of control, Neal investigates the crimes on his own, leading to a mind-bending, genre-twisting conclusion that will leave you breathless!

Tenebrae is also being released Stateside by Synapse Films, with the set containing the same features as above, albeit with different artwork…

Tenebrae will release on 4K Ultra HD on July 18th in the UK and July 26th in the US.
