Pokémon goes open-world this November with Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet

June 2, 2022 by Gary Collinson

Pokemon trainers get ready, as The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have announced that Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are set to bring the franchise into the realm of open-world RPGs when they launch on Nintendo Switch this November.

The new Legendary Pokémon appearing in the titles, Koraidon and Miraidon, are on each cover of the retail version of the game, which allows players to immerse themselves in a newly-evolved adventure, exploring the various locations while enjoying series staples such as catching, training, battling and trading Pokémon with up to three other players.

Check out a new trailer here, along with a batch of screenshots…

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will release on November 18th.
