The Walking Dead moves to Manhattan in the teaser for Dead City

November 25, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Following their uneasy truce in the series finale of The Walking Dead, Maggie and Negan are moving downtown for AMC’s zombie spin-off show Dead City, which pits Lauren Cohan’s Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan against a city full of shufflers.

Co-created by The Walking Dead stalwart Scott Gimple and showrunner Eli Jorne (Wilfred), Dead City will pick up two years after the conclusion of the long-running series, and join the likes of Darryl Dixon, a spin-off which follows Norman Reedus and his fan-favourite character, and Rick & Michonne which brings back Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes and Danai Gurira Michonne, in continuing the stories of The Walking Dead‘s legacy characters. Check out the teaser below…

Also starring in the spin-off series are Gaius Charles (Friday Night Lights) as Perlie Armstrong, Karina Ortiz (Orange is the New Black) as Amaia, Zeljko Ivanek (True Blood) as The Croat, Mahina Napoleon (NCIS) as Ginny and Jonathan Higginbotham (The Blacklist) as Tommaso.

The six-episode series is currently set for a 2023 debut on AMC in the U.S. and on Disney+ in territories around the world.
