Tell Me Lies renewed for second season by Hulu

November 29, 2022 by Ricky Church

Hulu has ordered a second season of its drama Tell Me Lies. Led by Grace Van Patten (Nine Perfect Strangers) and Jackson White (Ambulance) and based on Carola Lovering’s novel, the series follows the romance of two college students and how their toxic relationship spirals to change their lives and of those around them.

Tell Me Lies was created by Meaghan Oppenheimer (Queen America) and also stars Catherine Missal, Spencer House, Sonia Mena, Branden Cook, Benjamin Wadsworth and Alicia Crowder.

Oppenheimer is the showrunner and executive produces the series with Emma Roberts through her company Belletrist Productions alongside Karah Preiss and Matt Matruski. Also executive producing for Rebelle Media is Laura Lewis, and Stephanie Noonan, Shannon Gibson and Sam Schlaifer from Vice Media’s Refinery29, and Jonathan Levine with Lovering serving as a consultant.

Based on Carola Lovering’s novel, Tell Me Lies follows a tumultuous but intoxicating relationship as it unfolds over the course of eight years. When Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco meet at college, they are at that formative age when seemingly mundane choices lead the way to irrevocable consequences. Although their relationship begins like any typical campus romance, they quickly fall into an addictive entanglement that will permanently alter not only their lives, but the lives of everyone around them.
