The first teaser trailer has arrived for the long-awaited feature film Luther: The Fallen Sun with Idris Elba reprising his role as DCI John Luther in a continuation of the hit BBC series Luther. Watch the teaser below…
Luther: The Fallen Sun will be released on Netflix, but before it hits the streaming service it will have a special theatrical release in select theatres beginning February 23rd followed by its Netflix premiere on March 10th.
In Luther: The Fallen Sun — an epic continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for film — a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther (Idris Elba) sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.
Luther: The Fallen Sun features a cast that includes Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, Andy Serkis, Dermot Crowley, Jess Liaudin, Lauryn Ajufo and Natasha Patel.
Luther: The Fallen Sun will premiere in theatres February 23rd and Netflix on March 10th.
