The White Lotus books Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Carrie Coon and more for season 3

January 10, 2024 by Ricky Church

The White Lotus vacation resort has booked its first round of new guests. The HBO hit comedy has cast Leslie Bibb (About My Father), Jason Isaacs (Archie), Michelle Monaghan (Mission Impossible – Fallout), Parker Posey (Lost in Space) Carrie Coon (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), Dom Hetrakul (The Sky Without the Sun) and Tayme Thapthimthong (Mechanic: Resurrection) for its third season.

The third season of The White Lotus will take audiences to the in-universe resort’s Thailand location where a new group of guests will begin their stay at the exotic hotel. They will be joined by Natasha Rothwell who will reprise her season one role as Belinda, the manager of the White Lotus’ spa who was incredibly empathetic and held dreams of opening her own wellness spa.

There are no details on who any of the cast will play. Creator Mike White previously teased the third season will explore “death in Eastern religion and spirituality” as the location travels to Thailand. Seasons one and two took place in Maui and Taormina with the only returning cast member being Jennifer Coolidge as Tanya, who formed a friendship with Rothwell’s Belinda and almost became her business partner after promising to finance her wellness center.

However, Tanya cancelled their partnership at the last minute after her needy nature and transactional friendships shifted onto her romantic partner Greg, leaving Belinda devastated and hurt. Her story ended with the implication this changed her selfless and outwardly optimistic nature with a much more cynical outlook after she fails to give meaningful advice to another guest who is at a crossroads in their life.

Given what was a close friendship and Tanya’s fate in season two, it may be possible we’ll see Belinda’s reaction to the news and how it might further change her with White’s tease on the exploration of death in Eastern religions.

The White Lotus season three will begin production in Thailand next month and several more cast additions will be announced before cameras start rolling. It will premiere on HBO sometime in 2025.
