February 20, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

StudioCanal has released the trailer for shark survival thriller Something in the Water, which focuses on a wedding party’s fight to stay alive when they become marooned on a sinking ship as a hungry shark looks to pick them off one-by-one.

Directed by Hayley Easton-Street (The Climb), Something in the Water stars Hiftu Quasem (Ten Percent), Lauren Lyle (Outlander), Nicole Rieko Setsuko (Eavesdropping), Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart (One Four Three), and Natalie Mitson (The Larkins); check out the poster and trailer below…

An idyllic destination wedding turns into a battle for survival in this emotionally fraught, action thriller. SOMETHING IN THE WATER follows Meg (Hiftu Quasem, Ten Percent), who tentatively attends the wedding of old friend Lizzie (Lauren Lyle, Outlander) in the Caribbean along with fellow pals Cam (Nicole Rieko Setsuko, Eavesdropping) and Ruth (Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart, One Four Three), plus her former partner Kayla (Natalie Mitson, The Larkins) who she parted ways with after both survived a deeply traumatic event.

Something in the Water is released in cinemas across the UK & Ireland on July 5th 2024.
