Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection trailer teases nostalgic gameplay and battle modes

March 7, 2024 by Ricky Church

Before EA relaunched the Star Wars: Battlefront video games with their own titles, the third-person shooter games were quite successful on consoles in the mid-2000s. Now those games are returning for current consoles in the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection that will be released next week on March 14th and we have a new trailer teasing the nostalgic levels, gameplay and various battle modes. Watch it below…

Star Wars: Battlefront and Battlefront II were developed by Pandemic Studoios and LucasArts when the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy was just coming to an end. The games featured battles and maps across the Star Wars franchise taking place in both the Original and Prequel eras where players could play as the Rebels, Empire, Clone Troopers or Separatists.

Battlefront II expanded gameplay even further by introducing space combat and the heroes class, allowing players to step into the shoes of iconic characters like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Han Solo and Boba Fett as they took to the battlefield. Unlike the first Battlefront, it also had a single-player campaign following the 501st Legion who became instrumental in the destruction of the Jedi Order and rise of the Galactic Empire.

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection has been developed by Aspyr with massive support for 64-multiplayer online gameplay for the iconic Star Wars locations. It will be released for all current-gen consoles and PC.

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is a two-pack of one of the most beloved Star Wars third-person action shooters developed by Aspyr. Fight throughout iconic moments in the Star Wars universe across the Original and Prequel trilogies with both Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars: Battlefront 2 for one price. Devise your strategy, recruit your troops, and execute your tactical vision for conquering the galaxy in Galatic Conquest now supporting up to 64-player online support or in single-player mode. Players can also embody their favorite Jedi and Sith alike in Hero Assault to play as Yoda, Luke Skywalker, General Grievous, Darth Vader, and more. The Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is also fitted with new Heroes and Maps unseen in the original releases.

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is launching on March 14 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S\X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
