As the X-Men prepare to make their grand return with X-Men ’97, Marvel has released a new promo for the upcoming revival of the classic X-Men: The Animated Series which gets fans up to speed on the iconic 90s show; if it’s long before your time, or you’re in need of a handy catch-up and don’t have time to squeeze all 76 episodes in ahead of Wednesday’s premiere, then here’s what’s happened ‘Previously on X-Men’…
The revival revisits the iconic era of the 1990s as The X-Men, a band of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, are challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future.
X-Men ’97 features Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, JP Karliak as Morph, Lenore Zann as Rogue, George Buza as Beast, AJ LoCascio as Gambit, Holly Chou as Jubilee, Isaac Robinson-Smith as Bishop, Matthew Waterson as Magneto and Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler. The series comes from Beau DeMayo as head writer with the 10-episode season directed by Jake Castorena, Chase Conley and Emi Yonemura.
