William Fitchner to lead Cutman with Emily Hall and Caroline Concannon

Prison Break and The Company You Keep star William Fitchner has been cast as the lead in Michael Mailer’s (Blind) new film Cutman. Fitchner will star alongside Emily Hall (Animal Kingdom) and Caroline Concannon (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin).

Cutman “delves into the underworld of a retired boxer, played by Fichtner, who grapples with a terminal illness while reluctantly serving as an enforcer for low-level mobsters. Haunted by the memory of his deceased cutman, he suffers until a chance encounter with a troubled junkie, played by Emily Hall, and her daughter, played by Caroline Concannon. He’s then embarks on a journey of redemption and retribution.”

Mailer wrote the script and produced through his company Michael Mailer Films. Producing with him is Scott Kluge, Alessandro Penazzi and Jennifer Gelfer. Tremendous Entertainment is also producing.

Fitchner is a well known character actor who has appeared in several films and television series. Along with Prison Break, he’s most known for Heat, The Dark Knight, Armageddon, Mom, Black Hawk Down, The Perfect Storm and more.

Cutman completed principal photography in Buffalo. A release date has not yet been announced.
