In a Violent Nature teaser depicts a slasher film from the POV of the killer

April 28, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

IFC Films has shared a new teaser for their turning-the-tables slasher flick In a Violent Nature.

Writer-director Chris Nash’s minimalist horror depicts the familiar tropes associated with a stalk-n-slash genre entry, but from the perspective of the masked killer. Think the opening of John Carpenter’s Halloween, but for the entire movie.

In a Violent Nature walks slowly behind the vengeful spirit of Johnny, a rotting corpse who is resurrected 60 years after an horrific crime was committed, as he sets out to slaughter the teens responsible for stealing the locket that brought him back. Check out the trailer below…

When a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year old crime, his body is resurrected and becomes hellbent on retrieving it. The undead golem hones in on the group of vacationing teens responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in his mission to get it back – along with anyone in his way.

An unrelenting horror experience that will shake you to the bone. After terrorizing Sundance audiences, minimalist slasher IN A VIOLENT NATURE hits theaters May 31! https://t.co/qsbU7CZ0YN pic.twitter.com/D63rGGUJNs
