Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer teases more Mutant Mayhem

June 8, 2024 by Ricky Church

While we wait for a feature film sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, Paramount+ has released the first trailer for the animated series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which continues the story of the turtles following last summer’s hit film. Watch the trailer below…

Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles “explores the adventures of everyone’s favorite pizza-loving heroes as they emerge from the sewers onto the streets of NYC. Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey are faced with new threats and team up with old allies to survive both teenage life and villains lurking in the shadows of the Big Apple.”

The series will see the film’s cast reprise their roles with Nicolas Cantu, Brady Noon, Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr. and Ayo Edebiri returning as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo and April O’Neil respectively.

Joining them in the series are Pete Davidson (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts) and Alanna Ubach (Ted). Davidson will play Rod, a mutant-loving rich kid, while Ubich will be Bishop, an inventor who believes mutants are humanity’s greatest threat.

The sequel for Mutant Mayhem has been given a release date of October 9th, 2026 so Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will serve as a nice supplement while we await the next film, which director Jeff Rowe teased will see the Turtles’ archnemesis Shredder antagonize them after his brief appearance in Mutant Mayhem‘s mid-credits scene.

Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will premiere on Paramount+ on August 9th for a 12-episode season.
