Secrets of the Machine God update arrives for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

June 26, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Fatshark has today released the latest free update for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on PC (via Steam and Microsoft Store) and Xbox. This latest free content update, Secrets of the Machine God features a new mission, plenty of new weapon types and weapon marks.  See the new trailer below to learn more.

Those devoted rejects of humanity, yet still loyal to the Emperor, will be tasked with a new mission, Clandestium Gloriana.  In this mission, players will explore the frozen derelict Mechanicus research station in Atelium Foundryplex Omega V. Accompanied by the mysterious mission-giver, players will discover a new variable end mission event.

The new weapon types and marks introduced in Secrets of the Machine God include:

  • Godwyn-Branx Pattern Bolt Pistol – Carried by the Space Marine chapters, this iconic Warhammer 40,000 weapon is mobile and perfect to lead an assault.
  • Two-handed Pickaxes – This is the first two-handed weapon for the Ogryn and takes brutality and force to a whole new level (Branx Mk Ia Delver’s Pickaxe, Borovian Mk III Delver’s Pickaxe, Karsolas Mk II Delver’s Pickaxe).
  • Shockmauls – The perfect Warhammer 40,000 riot gear consists of an electric weapon that stuns and adds a shocked status to enemies (Agni Mk Ia Shock Maul, Indignatus Mk III Shock Maul).
  • Ironhelm “Hacker” Mk IV Assault Shotgun – This is a very close range and brutal shotgun that inflicts intense damage on those who anger the Emperor.

Secrets of the Machine God is available for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide now.
