Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable releasing on Early Access this month

July 2, 2024 by Andrew Newton

VR developers UNIVRS have announced that Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable will be releasing on Meta Quest Pro|2|3 via Meta Quest Store Early Access on 23rd July. The early access release will feature the first two chapters of the game with each offering a good 2-3 hours of action in the Attack on Titan universe.  Watch the new trailer below….

Based on the highly acclaimed manga and anime, Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable enlists the player as a member of the Scout Regiment to help defend humanity from the onslaught of the Titans that have managed to break through Wall Maria.  Players will be able to use their Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) Gear and zip around the different areas within the inner walls, teaming up with fellow regiment members and bringing down Titans.

Along with the ODM Gear to help them travel around the large, immersive city, players will also be able to use that other valuable bit of kit, the dual blades made of Ultrahard Steel. With these mighty weapons, players will be able to slash at the vulnerable neck sections of the Titans.  More equipment such as upgraded blades and firearms can be unlocked later, along with new skills and abilities.

Players will be able to complete timed objectives including outpost defense, securing supply drops to aid fellow soldiers in combat and slash towering Titans, which will help unlock the better equipment.  These objectives will allow players to zoom between buildings ranging from two to eight stories high.

“We have heard fans’ voices from the Attack on Titan community and are eager to give them what they want,” said Keigo Fujikawa, CEO of UNIVRS. “You have been patiently waiting since we first announced Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable in 2022, and are thrilled to share all of our hard work with audiences”

Look out for Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable arriving on Meta Quest Early Access on 23rd July.
