September 18, 2024 by Andrew Newton

THQ Nordic has released a new deep dive trailer for the upcoming 3D-platformer Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed.  This new trailer offers viewers a  behind-the-scenes look at the development of this classic for today’s generation of consoles/ computers.  Players can join the game’s Creative Director, Warren Spector, and developer Purple Lamp Studios below…

Epic Mickey: Rebrushed takes players into the fantastical world of Disney Epic Mickey, a timeless classic that has had a wealth of improvements made to the graphics, camera and interface that take advantage of today’s consoles and gaming computers.  Despite these changes, Mickey Mouse still provides the heart of the story.

“No matter who you are, where you are, or how old you are, Mickey Mouse was part of your life at some point. That’s why we felt really responsible to provide you with the best Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed journey you can have.” – Warren Spector, Creative Director.

This remake will give players the chance to:

  • Explore a reimagined Wasteland filled with Disney’s most beloved characters and stories.
  • Wield a magic paintbrush that will allow them to paint to create and thinner to alter. Each choice will shape the story.
  • A rich story-driven world  where player’s will get to meet Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Disney’s original star.
  • Enjoy new abilities and enhanced visuals in a classic setting.
  • Try out Mickey’s new moves, such as dash, ground pound and sprinting.
  • Experience multiple endings based on player’s playstyle and decisions.

Epic Mickey: Rebrushed will release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on 24th September.  Players can pre-order digitally and receive a Costume Pack with 3 costumes and 24 hours Early Access* (*applies to consoles only).
