Transformers: Galactic Trials rolls out onto PC and consoles

October 11, 2024 by Andrew Newton

It’s time to roll out as Outright Games announce the release of Transformers: Galactic Trials on PC and consoles.  Made in partnership with Hasbro, Transformers: Galactic Trials blends vehicular arcade racing and fast-paced robot combat into an exciting fit for all robots in disguise.  Watch the new launch trailer below…

In Transformers: Galactic Trials, the Autobots and Decepticons are out to collect the stolen Prime Relics that grant great power to whoever possesses them. There’s 11 different Transformers to play as, each with different skills and their own personality traits inspired by iconic dialogue from across the franchise’s 40 year history.

Fans will be able to choose from five playable Autobots, including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Elita-1, Wheeljack and Arcee, or five playable Decepticons, including Megatron, Shockwave, Flamewar, Soundwave, Nightbird and the ultimate bad guy, Nemesis Prime.  Each character has their own dialogue, unlockable skins for customisation, and two unique skills, such as Wheeljack’s Wrecking Bomb and Soundwave’s Sonic Sphere.  There are also a choice of eight different weapons available to each character.

There’s 70 individual relics to be collected as players race around tracks and circuits, which can be used for players to boost their  stats for speed, damage and handling, and there are rarer,  more powerful Artefacts of the Prime that will grant even stronger power-ups.  For long time Transformers fans, there are also Easter Eggs to be discovered as well as the artefacts.

Players will be able to play solo and complete individual side objectives in each race and unlock the skills, characters and tracks in the Galactic Trials or Arcade Mode, or they can race against a friend in 2-player local multiplayer.  Whichever way you play, there are four difficulty modes to choose from.

Transformers: Galactic Trials is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
