Alternate history sci-fi horror Space is Red unveils trailer

November 23, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Solo developer Febrvvm has announced that their new title Space is Red will be coming to Steam soon.  Space is Red is an alternate history sci-fi horror visual novel where the USSR never dissolved and the space race with the US still exists.  Watch the new trailer below…

Space is Red takes players into an alternate future where the USSR still exists and tensions are still high with the USA.  Taking place aboard a Soviet starship, players will follow the story of the crew as they find themselves near a mysterious planet after carrying out a hyperspace jump to avoid an ambush.  This strange planet is in a barely explored region of our galaxy and when strange things begin to occur the crew grow suspicious that there may be a traitor on board.

Players will be able to expect multiple endings, elements of detective stories, many deaths among those on board the ship and quite possibly an alien presence.

Visually, Space is Red draws inspiration from retro-horror manga and is styled in black and white while the story itself is a radical reimagining of the first Russian full-length visual novel ‘Красный космос’ (Red Space) that was originally released in 2007.

Look out for Space is Red arriving on Steam for PC soon.  Head on over to the game’s Steam page and it to your wishlist now.
