Three new Fear Street movies in the works, says R.L. Stine

January 5, 2025 by Gary Collinson

Get ready to return to Shadyside, as bestselling author R.L. Stine has revealed that Netflix is currently developing three new films in its Fear Street horror series.

Stine revealed the Fear Street news during a promotional interview with THR to promote the upcoming Disney+ series Goosebumps: The Vanishing [watch the trailer here], stating that: “The writers are working, so I’ve got my fingers crossed.”

Based on Stine’s teenage horror book series of the same name, Fear Street spawned a trilogy of films on Netflix from director Leigh Janiak, which were released weekly on the streaming service in July 2021. A standalone fourth film, Fear Street: Prom Queen, was shot last year and is expected to premiere on Netflix this year.

As yet, Netflix is yet to officially confirm the three new Fear Street movies, but we will keep you posted on developments.
