Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Mr. Freeze joins Hot Toys’ Batman & Robin sixth scale figure collection

March 9, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

The Iceman Cometh! Sideshow and Hot Toys have unveiled the sixth scale Mr. Freeze collectible figure which is inspired by the appearance of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the supervillain Dr. Victor Fries in Joel Schumacher’s 1997 DC sequel Batman & Robin. Check out both the collector edition and the deluxe version below…

As a cold-hearted villain, Dr. Victor Fries, also known as Mr. Freeze, has the warmest heart for his wife, Nora, who suffers from a terminal illness. In order to cure Nora’s disease, Mr. Freeze plans to hold Gotham City ransom by threatening to transform it into a frozen wasteland.

Sideshow and Hot Toys are proud to introduce the Mr. Freeze Sixth Scale Collectible Figure with a beautiful metallic finish.

Expertly crafted based on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s portrayal of Mr. Freeze in the movie, the action figure features a newly developed head sculpt with ice-blue skin and realistic skin texture. Mr. Freeze’s specialized suit is faithfully recreated with a black and silver striped undersuit and layered armor pieces on top. Meanwhile, the armor is meticulously plated with metallic finishes and includes translucent and iridescent parts on the upper arms, chest, thighs, and calves to enhance futuristic aesthetic and add an extra sense of coldness for the figure. Also, LED-lighted design is featured on the armor, the detachable helmet, and his Freeze gun with an attachable freeze beam accessory allowing fans to display him in dynamic ways.

Dr. Victor Fries is a scientist who dedicates his research to finding a cure for his wife Nora’s disease. However, an experimental accident changed his body so he could only live in freezing temperatures. To survive, he created a special suit that maintained his body at the right temperature and became Mr. Freeze. In order to continue his research for Nora’s cure, Mr. Freeze created a device called the “freezing engine,” which is so powerful that it could freeze Gotham.

Sideshow and Hot Toys are excited to bring the meticulously detailed Mr. Freeze Sixth Scale Collectible Figure to fans. The reflective and metallic finish on the armor certainly elevates the collectible to the next level.
