Zach Cregger’s Weapons delivers chilling trailer

April 29, 2025 by EJ Moreno

Are any of us ready for the new horror maestro Zach Cregger has cooked up for us?

Following his 2022 film Barbarian, the filmmaker is back with what looks to be another terrifying adventure into his twisted mind. Weapons is set for release this upcoming summer, and that gives us just enough time to brace ourselves for this madness.

Little is known about the film, but it has been teased that it revolves around multiple plots marked by the disappearance of school kids at exactly 2:17 a.m. The trailer gives us brief glimpses of the missing children, some horrific brutality, and yet another great turn from budding scream queen Julia Garner. Before Cregger takes over the Resident Evil franchise, check out the project that turned the filmmaker into one of the buzziest names in Hollywood.

The cast of Weapons includes Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan. Watch the trailer below…

When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.

Weapons arrives in cinemas this August.
