S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition out now

May 21, 2025 by Andrew Newton

GSC GameWorld has announced the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This edition features enhanced editions of 2007’s Shadow of Chornobyl, 2008’s Clear Sky and Call of Prypiat from 2009.

This trilogy has been given a complete makeover for today’s platforms and players can expect to see enhanced graphics with improved lighting with godrays, screen space reflections and global illumination that all help provide an immersive experience. The textures and 3D models for NPCs, weapons and environments have also been enhanced. There has also been the addition of 4K pre-rendered cinematics that sharpen the storytelling.

Console gamers will be able to select from a variety of quality and performance modes, plus there’s the addition of keyboard and mouse support.  Players on console can also expect mod.io integration which enables cross-platform mod creation and sharing.

Gamers who purchase the game on Steam will get Steam Deck optimisation, mods access via Steam Workshop, gamepad support and cloud saves.  What’s more, owners of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games on Steam will get the Enhanced Editions free.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition is available now for PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X/S and Playstation 5.
